Football overview 3rd-4th March 2012

LIVERPOOL V ARSENAL: 3rd March 2012

Arsenal travel to Anfield for their 26th game of the season. The win against spurs at the Emirates stadium 5.2 wouldv’e given the gunners an unexpected lift.
Whether this match proves to be a flash in the pan, will depend on van the man Van Persie keeping his form. On the other hand King Kenny will want a like for like score line acheived at the Emirates in August 2.0.
Dirk Kuyt is also coming into form opportunistically and I am therefore discounting a draw, Liverpool will win at the fortress Anfield...

Black Burn V Aston Villa: 3rd March 2012

Aston Villa are up against a revitalised Blackburn side hoping to salvage something in the league, and handing over to the belief Black Burn will have home advantage won’t count for much. At Villa Park Villa enjoyed the spoils winning 3.1 and largely redundant to Blackburn’s poor form I cannot see them achieving anything outside a draw.

It should be a heavy battle and Blackburn will start with aplomb vesting their attack to surprise Alex Mcleish’s side; before fading beautifully in the second half.

A win for Aston Villa then indifferent to the 3.1 score line. Could it really finish 2.0?

Manchester City V Bolton: 3rd March 2012

Bolton have it all to do battling to keep the relegation reaper the right side of the door, and coming up against a Manchester City side who are proving starlets pursuant to a Premier League title and Europa trophy.

In August it was very close at the Reebok stadium, Manchester City taking the win 3.2. However, Manchester City want the premier league title and at the Etihad stadium the Citezens will get a comfortable victory alleviating pressure from Manchester United.

Prediction: 3.0 Manchester City...

Chelsea V West Brom: 3rd March 2012

Andre Villas-Boas has been under the spot light recently, and you wonder if Ambrovich is preparing to extract him to his sub back to Porto cutting his losses.

Andre’s came to Chelsea with the furnaces of success still cracking the kindling back in Porto.
Andre’s you are not the special one; there can be only one exuberant, egotistically, smarting, cynical special one and this man mangers Real Madrid.
Andre’s lacks the mustard or whatever the Portueguese have with their traditional dish?

Andre’s will also want to break bread with Fernando Torres who is proving to be spurned investment. Torres is surplus to the requirement of goals and his confidence lives in David Jone’s Locker. Ambrowich will want to squeeze him out this summer.

King Kenny is too busy laughing to have noticed Andre’s smarting because Fernando Torres’s form has become languid.
With three months to go until the season’s closure Torres is running things thickly close, and I would advise Ambrowich reinstalling Torres to the first team letting him supersede the unwanted achievement in becoming Chelsea’s most expensive waste of time.

Stand up Fornando; let the net sizzle starting with West Brom today...
OPR V EVERTON: 3rd March 2012

Loftus Road welcomes an Everton side narrowly beaten 1.0 at Goodison Park in August.
David Moyes will feel Everton could deliver much, much more instead of being beaten by teams hot-skipping above the relegation zone.

Therefore Everton should atone winning at loftus Road taking all 3 pts. After all Everton are destined a good win.

Fulham V Wolves: 4th March 2012

On to Craven Cottage and against a Wolves side who have proved to be half the team expectant of them. The onus then is on Fulham wilting wolves ill-temprement who will want to frustrate Fulham taking the lead supremely and on the assumption Fulham do not concede to this set-back a draw is likely for both sides...

Spurs V Manchester United: 4th March 2012

Manchester United will be heightened by Spurs over confidence that encumbered them to a 5.2 defeat. Spurs simply disintegrated against Arsenal unremarkable given how Harry Redknapp is being sent up as an adequate successor to Capello. Think it over?
Amid the chaos and the disquiet within the team Spurs were winning 2.0. Two fucking good goals to the good against an Arsenal team in recovery and out of sorts.
There is only three months for Harry Redknapp to convince us the arm chair fans whether Spurs will ever take their position at the table of the elites sipping greedily from the chalice of the premier league. Manchester United and in particular Sir Alex wouldv’e stessfully noted how vulnerable Spurs have shown themselves to be.

Manchester United arrive during a period when they are chasing the rabbit that is Manchester City. Can Harry keep the box cart on the rails without tottenham’s season becoming driverless.

I am convinced the England job is an unfavourable distraction and Harry Redknapp shouldv’e declared favourably with his employees he intended to manage England after he had left Spurs in their strongest position for a decade.
The tradition and the club should matter should n’t it Harry? And winning the Fa Cup and securing 3rd would be befitting for you to manage England after leaving Spurs on a glorified high.

Can you Harry? Will you Harry beat Manchester United today? Will you approach this game as so many managers have not fearlessly? Will you with the same conduct beat Chelsea correcting the 1.1 result in August?

Only then would you be worthy to take the England job. Otherwise and I mean this constructively, The England task and its imposed enormity has come too early for you.

I am not sorry I am indifferent to the speculation, Spurs were comfortably beaten 3.0 at the Theatre of Dreams in August. Its this game I believe will determine whether Harry Redknapp can seriously, competantly challenge France, Sweden and Portugal.

There is little need to argue Harry Redknapp did set out correctly against Stevenage in the Fa Cup, yet similarly too much respect was paid and Spurs began to look cheerfully out of their depth.

Was this set-back due to being too enclosed? Most of these players have come from grass roots stadiums that is hardly an excuse. No Spurs have become the Devil himself having too much confidence in being able to compete against the force of four. Manchester United. Manchester City. Chelsea. Arsenal. There in lies the issue and there in lies the reason why Spurs will not beat Manchester United this afternoon.

Newcastle V Sunderland: 4th March 2012

St James Park is becoming a fortress for Newcastle and a spirited Sunderland will want to take the spoils as a necessary evil.
Newcastle were the outright winners in August 1.0 at the Stadium of Light and the time serving in the Championship has prepared Newcastle well, and I am convinced today Newcastle will win well at St James Park my apologies to the Sunderland fans...

Stoke V Norwich: 3rd March 2012

It comes around again Norwich seeks survival travelling to the Britannia Stadium. The last meeting at Carrow Road in August finished 1.1. Therefore much as I am tempted Stoke will take the plaudits, the win will go to Norwich that ought to please her majesty of cooking Delia Smith hello mum...

Wigan v Swansea: 3rd March 2012

Ah the defiant Swansea Side who when good are blindingly brilliant and when bad the swans want to flog them in the street. The Swans take their challenge to the DW Stadium against Wigan.

Roberto Martinez will want the win to avoid the free fall back into the Championship, and to this extent Martinez would be consumate in achieving just this.
For this to happen the August draw taken by both sides must be prevented and Wigan must be watchful. The Swans have become somewhat the wrecking crew enjoying fruitful possession taking Premier league teams by surprise the Swans will be build upon this, and this is no exaggeration either.

This does not mean either side are in contention for the win as we are aware you cannot gage Wigan’s poor form as a reason to suspect their defeat they might still surprise Swansea.

However, I am overruling any chance for a dominant display by Wigan calling this match a difficult one to call...
